  • Overview

    Scope of Responsibilities: The Business Data Analyst will partner cross functionally to understand underlying business issues and will provide summary reporting that will be used to improve process and profitability across the organization.  As a Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible to review and interpret financial, operational, and client as well as other business data to provide summary reports to various departments.  Present the findings and recommendations of analysis to ProAct’s senior leadership team.

     

    Job Summary: Analyze and review claims data at both a client and book of business level and provide feedback for opportunities to improve performance.  Partner with department leaders to analyze data elements to identify opportunities to optimize performance across these departments and provide summary findings to senior leadership team.

    Responsibilities

    Job Duties:

    • Develop cost analysis and projections for business partners and internal departments
    • Provide and analyze dashboard reporting for ProAct Pharmacy Services regarding overall business performance, medication margins, and cut reports
    • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end financial performance documents
    • Recommends systems process improvements for various ProAct departments and ProAct Pharmacy Services
    • Assist with annual budget preparation and weekly and monthly forecasting
    • Collaborates with Finance to understand problems, define business requirements
    • Collaborates with various department managers to identify, develop and maintain reporting needs
    • Analyze, develop and present reporting on retail and mail network pricing performance
    • Analyze, develop, and present reporting on individual client performance to ensure contractual optimization
    • Analyze ProAct Pharmacy Services financials and identify opportunity to optimize performance
    • Maintains appropriate documentation of applications and business processes
    • Support sales operations with business opportunity target analysis and reporting towards sales performance.
    • Integrate with operations and develop process improvement roadmap
    • Participates in change control processes
    • Assist management with forecasting and procurement reporting strategies with key vendor partners.
    • Shares knowledge with peers and others and supports knowledge management efforts
    • Participates in developing individual skill sets to meet today and tomorrow’s business needs
    • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Accounting or Finance

     

    Experience:

    • Preferred: 2-3 or more years previous experience in related position

     

    Special Conditions of Employment:

    • Criminal background check and/or drug test
    • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring

    Required Training:

    • HIPAA Privacy Course
    • HIPAA Security Course
